Thank goodness I randomly decided to transfer some cash into Paypal last Friday. The transfer completed today so it's perfect timing

The campaign button up there only sells the original Guild Wars and Factions, each for $49.99.

Are people ever happy?

Everyone bitched that ArenaNet was not going to launch the shop before the upcoming Nightfall PvP weekend and now that they have and are having some understandable issues people move on to bitch and moan about that.

Be happy that the store is here. Give them a chance to fix it. They know what they doing and I'm sure it will be up and running soon. Sheeesh.

Thank You ArenaNet & NC Soft!

Why do I have to have a play NC account for the extra slot. I have an account and don't want to bother with Play NC.

After the armor update fiasco and finding out about the upcoming PvE pet DP my faith in A-Net was rapidly slipping. However with the slot program out now my faith is being restored. It will hopefuly be further restored with Nightfall.

*gives A-Net a thunderous well deserved applaud*

BTW, why is guru here so slow in covering this issue? guru wasn't loading and I thought it was because so many people were talking about this, but I come on and this is the only thread about the store I see. gwonline.net is already on like page 5 million or something on discussing this topic.

Anyone here actually gotten into the store yet? Screenshots much? thx

PS: 5 million is an exageration...
you can now buy a new char slot. Later more stuff will be available to buy. You can't access the store yet. I really don't see what else there is to talk about it, nor do I see any reason that there should be multiple threads or an incredible number of posts in regards to this.

Hmm. Yeah. America prices. Europe get's nerfed so much. IMO it's sad selling character slots. "No monthly fees, INSTEAD WE JUST MAKE YOU BUY YOUR FUN!".

I just hope theres a limit on this. Like 15 slots or something.

I think you mean "I wonder IF these things will be available to retailers?"

The slots seem like something you can only buy with this store thing...

BTW when I try to enter it just say "connecting.." for about ten seconds, and then it says "unable to connect. try again later (code=42)". Anyone know how to fix this? Or is it just because its new so a lot of people are trying to look at it?

Default Guild Wars -OFFICIAL- Store? What's all this about?

I'm sure tons of you have noticed the nifty little box in the upper right of your select-character screens that say "Guild Wars Official Store"
Everytime I tried clicking it, it failed to -connect-.
Questions:
1) Has there been any mention of this store before; as in, was it an expected feature?
2) Has anyone been able to access it?
3) What features does the store provide, and what exactly does it sell? Maybe more character slots for the upcoming preview event? That would be an interesting thing to sell, no?

Any help would be appreciated ^_^

People were throwing around the number 26 when talking about character slots in a thread somewhere. I really hope it's not as much as that.

I think possibly a max of 4 extra slots over and above the character slots you get with the game. So if you have Prophecies and Factions combined you can have a max of 10 character slots. If you then purchase Nightfall that number gets increased to 12.

*sigh*
the extra character slots were made available due to complaints from the community. Alot just bought 2 accounts to get more slots, but with the expansions it gets pretty expensive.
Now A-net sells extra character slots and people complain that A-net made it available.

They are preparing the game for the sell of Character Slots (this has been known for months).

They said "very near future" as a release date for the buying of slots, which probably means it'll go live this weekend with the Nightfall event.

1) I don't recall it being mentioned. Before GW had a store online AT THEIR WEBSITE.
2) Not yet. I think that we will be able to use it when GW announces it officially online.
3) I think it would be character slots and campaign keys.

Huzzah!

Good stuff.

I wonder why people care about the limit on number of slots, unless it's quite low.

I mean, I don't care if other people have 100 characters. What does it matter?
